I have seen unnecessary overtime awarded to an innocent bystander when another employee complained to the union that the overtime was not being distributed fairly, and it was resolved that their complaint was meritorious, but not in their own case. The world is weirder than can be imagined.
I work with a guy who brags (loudly and to whomever will listen) about how much time he spent working on stuff from home over the weekend. People like this need to find a life …
I worked with someone like this. Every Monday he’d loudly mention how he worked all weekend, came into the office, blah blah. Always of course with the manager within earshot. Finally one Monday I, as loudly, mentioned that if he’d get his work done during the week instead of surfing porn he wouldn’t have to work on the weekends. Never heard much from him after that.
