I would like to see some information on how ‘fair’ the vote actually was. I would imagine the results are fairly accurate. But as Radish points out, the Tartars and some of the other ethnic minorities didn’t vote. Probably they’re scared that their names would show up on a list of ‘no’ voters once Putin officially annexs it.
I did read somewhere that Moscow was making noises about concerns over Russian speaking minorites in Estonia. And there are such groups all through the Baltic states. I guess we’ll see what happens next.
