I can’t wait to see where this takes us, in the words of The Doctor: ‘Allons-y!’

An intriguing admission in Jim’s tossed-off phraseThey don’t own the planet now! Who could it be?If they need to “take” it, then one of these daysWe’ll learn of one more group. Ok, so maybe the reason for putting up the satellite had nothing to do with finding local mutants. Endtown is safe for now, and completely unaware of that.

Is it me or does this seems like a Logan’s Run parallel? Looking for Sanctuary? I hope they don’t run into Box!

I wonder if mutation and transformation extended to any of these “largely intact regions.”

Now I’m very intrigued, I really hadn’t thought there had been anything beyond the great wastes left, save maybe a few patches no bigger than a city block or two. But this is actually good news, because it means the world CAN potentially be salvaged and renewed in due time. It’ll probably take a couple centuries, but it could, in theory, be done, assuming what’s in these intact regions and how big they are.

But now that I think about it, it is kind of obvious there would be, otherwise, yeah, breathable air would start running out pretty quick. Can’t believe I didn’t think of that before…but then again, it is a comic featuring anthropomorphic critters, so…

I’m intrigued by Jim’s “Outside our borders…” and his suggestion that Topsiders are not uncommon outside of said borders. Whose borders is he talking about? If he means the Topsiders boarders, that suggests that the TS are limiting themselves to a certain area that they believe they can control and there is something out there that they are sending troops to fight. Otherwise it suggests that the TS are somewhat balkanized and Jim’s group controls an area in the great wastes. I’ll be curious to see how this goes.

But when you get there it seems like the inhabitants there would know more about both mutants and TSers than either does about them. If these intact areas are occupied (which seems likely) then you may or may not be welcome. Or you may be welcome as a form of mutated Soylent Green.

Uh-oh. That sort of sounds like the other TSers are not APEX, which may be a good thing, or not. This is going to be a bumpy ride.

There is also the possibility that Jim’s reference to outside “Topsiders” merely meant that there are other ‘normal’ people living outside the war zones – and that they aren’t too partial to strangers…

Now which one gets to hold their head out the window??Now here is where Wally and Holly can get even……….ARE WE THERE YET?? and so on and so on.Learn them to take them along on a road trip.Holly can use “I got to pee.” every ten miles or so then ask for more water.Wally can ask for food…..then get car sick and hack up a hair ball.Holly and Wally can start fighting for space.“He is on my side” “Am not” “Am too”“He is touching me.” “Am not” “Am too” and so on.Family road trips can really build lasting memories…..!!!

This does raise a serious question of why the Topsiders, many of whom seem to really dislike their situation, are so intent on staying in the Great Wasteland. If there’s real vegetation out there, why only stuff that you can suck through the suit and your mind has to be tricked into thinking is something else?

Now that I think of it, how do they make babies if they can never take off their suits?
