Why would I want to live there?

Real life example. Our company shut down all our California offices and moved the HQ from south SF bay area to Wisconsin. Our C-levels were all eager to move. Taxes, regulations, employee salary demands, commute and quality of life all factored into this decision, along with rent. Office space was so much cheaper. As people quit in California, we rehire in Wisconsin. It’s a no-brainer.

I suppose this means you wouldn’t live in New York, either. Big cities provide big salaries, big rent, increased costs for necessities. Goes with the territory, regardless of geography.

Florida, Arizona, and California all have the same basic problem, all the whiny, cheapskate, right wingers, who moved from the east to get the “lifestyle”, then screwed it all up because they didn’t want to pay any taxes. they just wanted to maintain the services and benefits, for FREE!

BTW: sure glad those folks moving to Wisconsin will never have to shovel any snow in the winter. New York advertising for businesses to move there, free of taxes for years,is also an indicator of how much “Corporate America” wants to “share the wealth”, with the actual “persons” desrving of “personhood”.

Orange County, John Birch Society, Nixon, Reagan, George Murphy, Shwartzenegger, Central Valley nuts like Pombo and his follow-ups, there’s moe than adequate reason to recognized that a larger percentage of California is very conservative, including almost all the businesses that got Reagan to cut their taxes when he was Governor, and they haven’t really gone up since, especially corporate property taxes. San Francisco is always considered a liberal bastion, but I wouldn’t say that for Anaheim, Fresno, or many other areas.
