Varvel is taking the OJ Simpson approach: When the facts are clearly against you, just state that the exact opposite is the truth. Say it often, say it proudly, deny the truth and hope enough stupid people are listening.
It worked for OJ. And the only other approach is, well, honesty. And that won’t get you what you want.
If you guys had a health care system like ours in Canada and paid 10.5% of GDP instead of 18% you would not have a deficit and everyone would be covered. That $800B now goes to the one percent who own the health care industry. Maybe too the USA might not rank 51st in the world for average life expectancy.
