I once watched “Never Been Kissed” on cable, and then later that evening watched a silent movie on TCM. Decided that Drew Barrymore would have fit right in with the party guests in the silent. Next morning I realized that the star of the silent film was her great-uncle Lionel..I’m the king of retro associations. First time someone asked me my opinion of the Hilton sisters, I thought they were referring to Daisy and Violet.

Kate Hudson and Drew Berrymore’s stars are starting to fade a bit. I love Drew though.

Sorry Ralph, Kate Hudson movies were banned under the Geneva Convention.

    Much, much too cruel…

The song “Drop That Name” in “Bells Are Ringing” is frequently interrupted by different party guests referring to “Ethel and Mary”, who turn out to be different each time – Barrymore and Pickford, Waters and I forget who, Merman and Martin. Ella, the commoner heroine, finally counters with Ethel Schwartz and Mary Hotchkiss (or vice versa).

They’re both pushing 40, which is old for a female actor in Hollywood, but they’ve both got chick flicks coming out this year:http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1086772/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_1http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2465120/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_3
