I wonder what the painting would look like. Maybe a hoop shot, because the CIA said…“slam dunk” when asked if Iraq had WMD. Or…perhaps perhaps a gaggle of geese because France, Germany, England and Israel thought so to. Or…perhaps a bunch of clowns from the posturing of Saddam and his certifiably insane sons.
Like it or not the folly of the Bush invasions (and some domestic policy) will be brought up so long as the severe consequences are felt, which could be generations. It is a good thing – “those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat.” Changing presidents does not pass the torch of blame for previous bone-headed policy.
As an amateur painter, “W” really isn’t all that bad. As a total amateur as Governor and President, he was a disaster, both to Texas, and the U.S.. Too bad all the lives lost, and trillions of dollars wasted, because his staff were all amateur chickenhawks, but totally dedicated and professional; liars.
Bush was not perfect; however, when we say that saddam had no weapons we have to wonder about the transmissions that were monitored out of Iraq in which his top generals talked about the weapons. Leading up to the invasion there were transmissions in which they were told not to refer to the weapons. Also, in the months leading up to the war, when we were trying to get cooperation from the U.N. ( whose leader had been in business with Saddam) I remember seeing former intelligence analysts saying that Saddam was currently moving weapons into Syria, but for some reason Bush did not pursue that. During the Obama administration we learned that Syriua did, in fact, have weapons.

Maybe someday Bush will paint us a picture of WHY we invaded Iraq.

What? You don’t see the WMDs? They’re right in front of you, right next to big foot.

Nuff said. Agent 99: Oh, Max, how terrible.
Maxwell Smart: He deserved it, 99. He was a KAOS killer.
Agent 99: Sometimes I wonder if we’re any better, Max.
Maxwell Smart: What are you talking about, 99? We have to shoot and kill and destroy. We represent everything that’s wholesome and good in the world.
