The “Fill-in-the-blank” Project? What is this, the 1950’s?

The last place I worked was for a company that provided mental health and addiction services for our local county. While I was there, they transferred most of their records to their computer system. I always cringed when I had to submit something and thought: what if the computer system went down?!!! Not a good idea to my way of thinking. Our veterinary office also went to online records. I always ask for a hard copy of what has gone on during a visit with my Irish Setter… ;)

@je40 I don’t work in tech, but 90% of my work is done on a computer. If a colleague told me they were giving me a file, I’d check my email, not hold out my hand. People still keep paper backups of their work, of course, but the idea that the main form of documentation is hard copies seems extremely old-fashioned to me.

@Gokie51998 was 16 years ago. Things have changed a bit since then.
