Better not pour salt on him, or you’ll need a new lawyer.

Hey Stephan, let’s go get drunk on 6th Street together after your stop at Book People in Austin. Lol. Oh wait, you have to catch a flight to Wichita the next day. Plus, your old lady probably wouldn’t be too happy with you if you went out and partied with a few of your fans. LOL…

    But it WOULD be fun.

If Pastis teamed with Rat, they could do “Flywheel, Shyster & Flywheel” after this.

Rat should never hire a lawyer who would have him as a client.

Read yesterday’s comments, and I can’t believe anyone would be unfamiliar with Breaking Bad. Even my brother, who basically only watched American Idol, has decided to try it out on Netflix! That’s something that would make Walt say, “I won.”

Aha! It appears Cartoon-Boy is reverting to type. Once slime, always slime, I guess…. But I wouldn’t hire him, Rat. Not only is Pig right, but in addition he has a conflict of interest as well, being your creator and out for a laugh at any cost….

I didn’t know that Cartoon Boy was a lawyer. This explains why his wife left .

To be fair, Pastis didn’t decide that cartooning “paid better” than lawyering (that would be insane). He just decided to follow a dream, and it worked out well for him. Mainly because he’s a super talented cartoonist.

You could always hire famed “pig lawyer” Oliver Douglas. He has experience with other animals, too (eg, getting a cow out of the draft).

I thought for sure we would have seen a special guest appearance of attorney Steve Dallas from Bloom County.

“Methamphetamines” is a censored word? And that’s too long to fit in his black box. “Blue rock”? “Glass”? “Crank”? “Ice”? “Crystal meth”? Aha. I bet that’s it. Crystal meth. Got it.

I question if Pastis can plan that out. Reading this comic makes me think that he makes a lot up as he goes. Thus his greatness!

Once a little girl and her mother went past a gravestone that said, “Here lies a lawyer and a good man.” The girl saw the gravestone then turned to her mother. …“Mommy? Why did they bury two people here?”…Yeah, too easy, but the Dr Rat story was just begging for this punchline sooner or later (we figured SOMEONE would sue Rat for malpractice before this arc ended).
