Why not call it the Childhood Swan Song Party? Once you reach ‘18’ you can never have do overs again or act like a kid without being put down for it. But…always remember that inside every adult is a kid wondering ‘what just happened?’.

Your joy is your own… not others’… – And it’s alright, as long as you don’t show up for work looking for someone to tell you a bedtime story, or bring your “Teletubbies” lunchbox to work… as a matter of fact, it’s alright, so long as it’s not the Teletubbies’ anything ….. – Anything! ……

Actually, this shows a very real major transition from High School to College.

In High School, you don’t want to do anything that makes you look immature. In College, you don’t care how doing something makes you look as long as it is fun!!

Jeez, I actually agree with Bernice and Delta. It sounds like fun. Luann was trying to be ironic (Hell, what was she aiming for? Brandy and cigars?!?), but i suspect if they do what is suggested, they will have a great time. No one is too old for that sort of party IMHO.

Not that Lu would really be above doing what they’d suggest, though… She has also turned on SpongeBob, and “vegged out”, and Brad “caught her in the act” of doing it…. – She’s probably just thought it was done a bunch, already. – Ironically, though, while Bern and Delta were busy with their studies and “community caring”, Lu was pursuing “non academic studies” and the like. So, perhaps this is also a thing of B&D working hard on their own “adult preparation”, and this comes as a sort of welcome break, and Lu has been working hard at her “adult preparation” which consists of pursuing things that would seem “straight out of a romance novel”, and feels ready to do what she’d characterize as “more adult”….

“And shouldn’t it be “Saturday Morning After Fever”?^Well, the reason I chose to go about it in the way that I did, was for the biggest reason… because “Saturday Morning” used to = cartoons!… Having a “fever” for the Weekend Chill Animation Cavalcade-extravaganza-palooza-parade-a-marathonis “Saturday Morning Fever”.. the way they’re talking about it, they’re “gung ho” (well, 2/3 are)…. so, it would seem like ‘fever’, as in “pac man fever”… – Secondary to this, it would seem to flow well, to go from “Saturday Night Fever” (which would be a story about “sophisticated fun” and choices, per se) to “Saturday Morning Fever” (about enjoying the “simple pleasures”)….

BS – Yeah, Yeccch. My stomach was already upset! Now I’m logging off.*But first… this is like the alternative-Rose-Bowl parade the year Liz Taylor married the young lad. “He” too came marching along in diapers & pacifier. Our memories are at fault when we imagine youth as having been all fun and no responsibility.

Diaper humor is rather odious and disgusting. As a child, I never had to wear them because I processed food so completely that there was no waste. I was 21 years old when I first had to go to the toilet. In the 40 years since then, I have only done it about 3 or 4 times.

Ah, Yes! The teenagers of today are full of anguish. They have problems with emotions and relationships. Their parents, grandparents and great grandparents never went through such things, because life in the old days was as close to perfect as can be imagined. The current high school generation is the first to experience struggles and difficulties in growing up!
