    Dalebrook pool actually exist, Its in a place called Kalk Bay. I’m from the area, weird to read about it in a cartoon :)

    It might depend a little on the time of year. I’ve swam in the Gulf of Mexico at Fort Myers, Florida, in June. It was warm like bathwater. I’ve never found the Atlantic shore to be warm.

    I’m from the Northwest too, and I’ve never actually seen warm ocean water. My Californian wife tells me the currents change somewhere south of San Francisco and the ocean is warm beyond there.

    I think the nit pickers are out in force today. “Today I swam in the ocean for the first time” could be short for “Today I swam in the ocean for the first time since I got here” or “Today I swam in the Indian Ocean for the first time”
