“Global warming” is a catch-all phrase for climate change. Man’s boot print can definitely be the main cause if this wide, weird weather the world is experiencing. 70 degrees in Sochi…in February?

How do the climate change guys account for the comings and goings of the Ice Ages well before the arrival of Man??

We already know that the data was falsified to come to the conclusion that was desired. And to continue mtretter’s response: there is a reason that we refer to the last ice age as “the last ice age.” It is because there have been numerous other ice ages. And in between these ice ages, we had a global phenomenon known as global warming. So call it global warming or climate change, or anything else that you want to. It is still a fraud.

Just a troll. Several of us responded to this question from this troll a couple of weeks ago, but obviously the effort was wasted.

If you mean “informed individuals who appreciate that human-caused global climate change is occurring,” no, we haven’t been silent. This weather is quite explicable and even predictable.More energy in the atmosphere (warming) means more chaotic and extreme weather of all types. Just because the temperature goes up and down doesn’t mean the average isn’t rising.Oh, and this snow pattern is EXACTLY what climatologists predicted: warmer air can carry more moisture. So a warmer climate means: (1) fewer snowstorms, because it is too warm to snow, (2) but when it falls, there’s more of it because it’s wetter air.Whaddya know!

Not a troll. Just want to rely on facts rather than a false hysteria. Do you remember , in the 70’s when the scare was a new ice age coming. Now it is global warming.

Well, if it’s reincarnation, there are a lot more species it won’t be due to HUMAN changes in species composition, due to HABITAT change or loss, which includes climate. Humans indeed are not actually part of “Nature”, claiming under religious law to hold dominion over nature, which means the right to destroy it, and themselves. That changes noted in a couple hundred years took millennia to occur in the “good old days” , using techniques such at tectonic plate movements and uplifts, not just CO2 or burning fossil fuels, forests, and grasslands, thus changing ecologic composition to meet our needs.

Please note that A) weather and climate are not the same thing and B) the weather is not the same all around the world. Just because we’re having a significant winter (for a change), doesn’t meant that there isn’t drought and an overall increase in the temperature. But you go ahead and keep telling yourself that unchecked dumping of toxins into the air has zero effect on the world.

For the faithful (yes, even atheists have a “faith”) when facts don’t fit the myth, just ignore the facts, scientific, sociological, or even accurately observed in OTHER “faiths”. It’s the dogmatic submission to dogma that jeopardizes societies, and planets, thus the denier dilemma faces all those who try to make folks aware the real world.

Except for the part where dtroutma said that even athiests have a “faith.” That was balderdash.

Being totally dedicated to the unprovable is “faith”. Being dedicated to the proven facts, that sometimes do mandate changing models, or modifying theory based on new evidence, is science.

You say, “Not for the Lysenko frauds peddling AGW theory, their models fail even the most basic peer tests, so many that now they refuse to allow peer review.”Where do you get this stuff? Do you just make it up?

You do realize, cube, that you are demonstrating a textbook case of clinging to dogma yourself? Your assertion that peer review is not allowed (presumably out of fear of disproving dogma that doesn’t exist) is simply wrong. James Lawrence Powell’s study (see link) found that only 1 of 9,136 PEER-REVIEWED authors in climate science rejected anthropogenic global warming.Oh, and he provides a link to his data, so you can check for yourself.Good luck changing your dogma.http://www.desmogblog.com/2014/01/08/why-climate-deniers-have-no-scientific-credibility-only-1-9136-study-authors-rejects-global-warming
