I have no problem with the Redskin name since it honors Native Americans and I hope my team does not draft that guy since he has made his sexual preference a big deal. And I’m not a bigot.

Back in the 60s, people were called bigots if they hated minorities. Now they’re called bigots if they don’t agree with the liberal agenda. .What are you libs going to do when you’ve run out of poor, downtrodden minorities to defend and pretend to care about?

“What you fail to realize that in the name of PC and being sensitive, normal people are being called racists and bigots.”That’s if you think racism and bigotry are normal.

There are other teams around with names that refer to ethnic groups…My favourite team is, ironically, named after after canadians and ironically, it is located in the only province trying to separate from said country! It’s a symbol to french canadians going back even before the word “quebecois” existed.

My guess is, if the native americans thought the redskins were any kind of tribute to their history, they would let you know. So far, the message says the opposite.

Some will say that changing a team’s name years down the road, after they became tradition, is a little late. Some will say that changing a law years down the road, after it became tradition is a little late…
