Slow down there Janis! Spouse of the owner would be considered a “good job” by many. Assuming that things turn out that way, like I think they will.

She’s already made up her mind, it’s all about justifications from here on.

No, Gus i selling and giving a portion to Marylou and Gene.I think it was 49%..I’m betting once she sees Gus in person she will calm down or let him have it..Arlo should step in now and get Janis to get a hold of herself. She’s only heard a portion of what’s going on..Otherwise, if you think you can do a better job, roll up your sleeves and do it. Quit griping.

i don’t get why Janis thinks she has anymore right to question Gus than he would if she decided to retire or wanted to sell their house. Gus knows the nature of the resort industry and if he thinks now is a good time to sell his expertise should be accepted. they haven’t been involved in their kids life for quite awhile so the concern now is a joke.

Education has more value than one job opening. It opens the door to many other “Docks”….

I could have read it wrong but I got the impression Gus was selling the adjacent land around the restaurant. Condos mean customers!!

As much as I want to say “Back down!” to Janis, every one of us has gone a bit off the deep end, forming opinions and making decisions, based on incomplete information or hearsay especially when it comes to topics we are passionate about.

Gus is selling the land as is, and it will bring in a pretty penny….Condos are worth more than restaurants……It’s ocean front property!…Almost priceless….

All jobs serve the desires, wishes and/or needs of others. How well they pay depends on how many they serve..

It isn’t usually looked at this way, though. Even oilfield out in harsh surroundings serve others by discovering and developing oifields which provide power, building supplies, clothing for millions over decades.Waiters and restaurants serve just a few at a time and a maximum of a few hundred per day.

@DavidHueyGreen said “I suspect Janis uses her right to question the actions of many. It doesn’t hurt them so there is no problem from it.”

It causes all kinds of trouble at our house.Typical process when driving down the street:

“Look t that mess! Somebody should clean it up”

“Well, you’re somebody. Either clean it up or ignore it”Then it gets interesting.

Am I the only one wondering where Janis’ incessant whining is going? And it’s certainly out of character for her.
