Not to mention all those prescription meds advertised on TV for you to demand from your doc, that may well kill you.

Don’t worry, Barry and the Dems will tax to death anything other than salad pretty soon. They will claim that since they “pay for” your health insurance, it’s their right to decide what you put into their “risk”.

As long as good americans can still get their pain killers there and a 40 to wash em down with all is well. You can always pick up your coffin nails to burn the house down while on the nod, at the 7-11, on the way home. My Big Pharma stocks have never done better. OC and OE 800 for all my homies, who needs cigs anyway!

I don’t usually write comments but I just had to today. The amount of conservative/tea party people that read this editorial and others is unusual. I know that they are uninformed but you guys really need to get back to reality and realize that there is more in life than just them. I wonder how many of you actually go out and help those that have less than you or those who have hit hard times.

One step at a time, Stahler. Fake medicines have lots of GOP politicians in their pockets, too — though not as many as the cigarette lobby.

Living in a small town for decades, during those wonderful Reagan/Bush, and “little bush” days, we went from three pharmacies, down to one. None of the three ever sold tobacco products, as the owners all saw it contrary to their efforts, to provide medicine and health. In the years since, we’re down to ONE pharmacy, and many of the drugs now on the market cost hundreds or even thousands of times the cost of development and production, are pushed by advertising, and CAN KILL YOU!

The “costs” of tobacco use do have a different perspective, and both tobacco and “big pharma” are still subsidized by BOTH parties with government $ or research support, GIVEN to those companies.

Congress DOES need to STOP practicing medicine without a license, in many realms of “health care”.

at least if someone is walking in front of him on the sidewalk that just purchased junk food, soda, or phony supplements, he won’t have to breath in their noxious fumes.
