Americans pay 18% of GDP on health care while the rest of the G8 spend 10.5%. If the USA had a health care system the same as Canada’s it would be spending $800B less and would not have a deficit.
Rather than working together to try to solve them, the Repubs only want to repeal. They finally came up with a proposal that will INCREASE costs.

Preventive care costs less in the long run. But insurance companies never cared about this because they always assumed the increased costs would be someone else’s issue
Really? Is that why Ins Co’s are charging a tax on smokers? Is that why major groups are developing health “Awareness” programs? Is it not true that health Ins Co’s are providing (no co pay) annual check ups and low/no cost mammograms, colonoscopys, etc to the policies? These are all forms of preventative care and have been around for years.
You seem to be bloviating about personal experience as opposed to what is happening around the nation.
You were not talking about the uninsurable in you comment. You were referring to the companies not providing preventative care, which is simply untrue. Please keep the conversation to your own comments.

Please explain the paradox of the Scandinavian countries. Happiest people, strong economies, …. And no, it isn’t because they don’t have immigrants, they do.
And the ACA is NOT socialist. Those are all PRIVATE insurance companies, not owned by the government.
