We are in a 1984 world. The technology exists to monitor our activities to an extent that makes most people very uncomfortable in hands they consider to be benevolent. The fact our government changes hands on a regular basis pretty much guarantees that eventually everyone will be governed by people they aren’t crazy about and don’t trust. We need laws that control how this technology is used, minimally. And, even then how can we ever feel that those who would use this technology to enforce their own agenda would follow those laws? If shutting down a bridge to punish a whole town is acceptable to a guy who was very popular, what could that type of person do with technology that is pretty far past orange traffic cones?
You are implying The Fox(y) News has become liberal? They are not reporting that. May be no one is reporting that because it is not true.(tho with the way all the propaganda outlets report, it might be true)
No private corporation has ever rounded people up, kicked down doors and shipped people to camps. Only governments have done this. That’s why I worry about Google less than Obama. (Though I do worry about Google.)
