Woman: The Fuhrer says he wants to close Auschwitz. Why doesn't he? Man: We'd love to close the camp. It's a recruiting tool for our enemies. It's hurting our international reputation. But the Reichstag won't let us bring the inmates here to the homeland for trial. What if a released detainee attacks us? Woman: Can't argue with that. Man: Can't argue with anything. Woman: HA!

This one is very timely for me. I’m reading War and Rememberance by Herman Wouk right now and much of the latter part of the book is about the final solution.
I have to agree with GreggW though. There wouldn’t be any body left to put in the camps at the rate that the concentration camps were liquidating Jews, Gypsies, Convicts, Homosexuals and Slavs.
It does beg the question of Mr. Obama AND Mr. Bush though. How do you justify a concentration camp with a Kangaroo court to incarcerate perceived enemies?

Out of curiosity, how do you know they’re “terrorists”? Last time I looked, not one of them has been convicted by a real court. Also, the vast majority of the “terrorists”, the “worst of the worst,” were released by the Pentagon after even they had to admit they were innocent.

Sort of like Germany and Russia split Poland in half In 1939/1940. But, we all know what Hitler eventually did a few months after that agreement, don’t we? Do you really think that if Germany had won WWII, that Hitler would have settled for just half of the U.S.? Not for very long.
