I was given a number of “Bushism” calendars. Although one year I was given two different ones, they did not contain a single quote in common. Quite an accomplishment. I laughed at them at first. After a while, though, I realized they made me more sad and disappointed than amused. It was too serious to be funny.

My personal favorite, still, is this segment from a 2006 news conference. ‘Bushisms’, sure . . . but imho, it summarizes and encapsulates that entire presidency:Bush says Iraq had no WMDs

It will be interesting to see the public’s reaction. I suspect it will be somewhere between… “Meh,” to “Whatever,” to “He’s a lying sack of….”.Obamacare is now horribly unpopular with nearly two thirds of Americans unhappy with it, including a third of Democrats. Obama isn’t going to turn that around with a speech. The economy is stagnant at best and still the worst in decades just as it has been for his entire time in office. He has nothing positive going with foreign affairs….I do expect him to babble on about idiocies like “…income inequality…” and other inane ideas from the Progressive Left that will fall on deaf ears. I also expect him to propose lots of new government programs and spending..

I DO have a “hangup” with “W” and “Bushisms”, notably because of “Mission Accomplished”, and the thousands who died, including some of my friends, after that lie, because of the lies that led to that lie.

Ramirez and “conservatives” even attempting to make Obama seem as incompetent, narcissistic, or arrogant, as “w” is totally absurd, that’s just fact based on history, not a political statement.

Reagan and “Papa” Bush did damage, but at least saw what was happening and reined in some of their idiocy, “W” with Cheney pulling the strings, never “saw the light”, and ran the train full speed into that train coming in the other end of the tunnel. Being a deserting from the Guard coward didn’t help any, but only the fact he’s pretty much an idiot gives him any excuse for his actions. (Brothers Neill and Jeb can’t claim that defense, which is why Neil should be in prison, and Jeb shouldn’t even be considered for any political future.)

Little does Ramirez know that Richard Sherman attended Stanford University and graduated with honors (4.1 GPA). Not only that he spoke eloquently in the post game interview with Terry, Howie Long, and the rest of the sportscasters. But as usual Ramirez only sees a dark complected feller saying, “YO YO YO YO” and attributes it to our sitting president.

But mind you he’s not a racist or anything.

Funny, I didn’t see Ramirez do a similar comic when Bush went Top Gun on the American population and did a “Mission Accomplished.”
