“Knock it off right now, or your savings accounts for your guitars when your hands start working will go to the poor.” That should do it.

Yes. To be effective every threat should be credible. Therefore no threat should be made which you are not willing to carry out if needed, nor able to carry out if given. If they call your bluff, it will be ten times as hard next time..Usually a demand without a threat is as effective as one with a threat. it may not BE effective, but is AS effective.

Might be time to call the Department of Children’s Services, these kind of threats can escalate to abuse.

Parents are only human, they sometimes need to vent. She isn’t really threatening to do anything, just needs a chance to let out a little frustration without carrying out anything.

My youngest son and his wife are expecting for the first time (at 41). The ultrasound revealed twin girls.( Heehee). My son, who was somewhat of a hellion himself, is absolutely panicked and thrilled at the same time. Three women in the house is just what he deserves !I’m sending him this strip for future reference.

Every new mother is entitled a period of post-partum psychological fits. It’s a physiological fact.

rpmurray is a clever troll. She swings by early most days, works out will get the biggest rise out of the average reader here, and posts it, generally as a single sentence. She is often successful in generating controversy, because she has a real knack of writing incendiary one-liners. She never comes back to engage with the conversation she generates, hence my calling her a troll. As always, the best response is DNFTT.

Yes, it would be nice if Toggle’s brain injuries healed themselves, but such an event is uncommon.

I don’t think we should see the twin’s thought balloons, Jump start does this. It’s not good to copy other’s gags.

What amuses me is the presumption Alex has that her children can understand what she is saying. And they do, life in a comic strip.

    Glad to see them back!

I remembered the title, but had managed to forget the lyrics in the last 23 years. Had to look them up.-This is the day we give babies awayWith a half a pound of teaYou just open the lid, and out pops the kidWith a twelve month guarantee.-This is the day we give babies awayWith a half a pound of teaIf you know any ladies who want any babiesJust send them round to me

We always got up. Crying babies means something more that non-parents know.
