Seems to me that since the Boomers paid for the Millennial’s education, they should contribute to their healthcare.

What are you whining about Stanis? It’s the millinials that helped elect Obama and run up the government debt. Most of the older booomers were smart enough to vote against him. They wanted to keep all the cash they’d accumulated instead of seeing it taxed away….

The millenials, when they reach their late forties, will become legislators and cancel healthcare and pensions for anyone over 70 as a waste of money and time for all of us boomers and Gen Xers who failed to plan ahead for the long term and for all people. Then, after balancing the budget because all of ‘us’ are dead and gone and not a burden on society, they will have the funds to do what we should have, thereby securing their own futures.Respectfully,C.

While I agree – somewhat – with the premise of the ‘toon, I have to point out that the millennials aren’t very engaged in the political process. They need to be more active to protect their own interests. And they aren’t.

As a boomer, I resent the bejabbers out of your statement…I worked since I was six and went on service calls with my dad, who was a farm machinery dealer, and later, when we took over my aunt’s ranch in Texas…the only reason I’m not working now is because of injuries I got from that same work and from Viet Nam and there a lot of boomers in the same situation…you, sir, are a cretin!!

Whatever, Stantis. Being born in ‘52 and entering the workforce at age 14, I’ve earned/saved the funds being used to pay for my healthcare and my retirement annuities. I’m not, nor are my peers, a bloat living off the labors of following generations.

We vote the real perpetrators into office, but once they’re there we have no substantial control over what they do. Writing letters, making phone calls… YEAH RIGHT! Big money and a corrupt campaign finance system is where the true responsibility lies.
