If our rail system had been maintained as intended in all the railroad grants, we’d have high speed rail, and could travel in comfort across the U.S., and as with many countries with good rail, like through the “Chunnel”, I could take my car with me as “hold baggage” instead of having to rent at my destination!! AND the system would be far more fuel efficient!!
