regarding yesterday’s post of Patti Pages’ fifties hit, ‘How much is that doggie in the window’:if you were ever at a stop light and some vehicle pulls up near you with speakers pounding into your brain some sort of rhythm to some sort of music, wouldn’t it be cool to, to have some kind of counter measuring music that we old timers can inflict on THEM——imagine Patti Page belting out her tune in a battle of the sounds at a stop light.….hm, this sounds like an idea for a ‘Cleo and Company’ episode.if that sounds like shameless plugging (Cleo and Company’ is available at Sherpa, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays), well, it IS!*
Eldo you are so funny! 2old – that picture is so funny! I love it. And, yes, be sure to read Cleo and Company by nighthawks – it is funny and cute and enjoyable! (even if he does shamelessly plug)
Went to an art show in Seattle today. We bought three interesting pieces, all very different styles; an intense green, wooden lawn chair that can be stacked flat, a small, narrow abstract face, kind of like an African wall mask on LSD. The face is yellow with purple polka dots, with orange spiky hair, purple lips and green eyes. The third item is a welded cast iron, heart that hangs as a wall sculpture, with purposely clunky welds and rivets. Needless to say LilG and I have eclectic tastes that not everyone would like, but fortunately her art likes match mine.
cleo, I haven’t been to a gallery in a while. Every time I do, I end up spend big bucks. There’s always something that that will suit suits my tastes, but not always accommodated by my bank account.
