Either that or they are in first class, and the passengers are paying through the nose!!

It could be worse. They could have crashed at the right one like that KAL airliner did or Aeroflot seems to do pretty regularly….

^I think you mean Asiana if referring to San Francisco. Back in 66, had to walk up front and tell the pilots of a Southern Airways flight they’d gone past Dothan, and we were over Florida, they were totally lost. BTW, Southern was the only airline that consistently scared me more than Horizon, and I was an aircraft mechanic.

(Which, on a DC 10 flight out of D.C., asked the stewardess to please have the pilots check their throttle settings. She ran up front, and shortly, the engines started “sounding right”. She came back and pointed out that typical “white knuckle” passengers never bothered them, it was we who knew what was happening (disaster imminent) who just calmly commented on situations that made them most nervous. On a particularly terrible landing in an F-27 the guy next to me (also an aircraft guy) commented on the “pilot skills” the flight had demonstrated, and the stew who’d heard us came on and announced, calmly, “Welcome to Medford folks, for the seventh time today.” Sometimes ya’ just have to be amused.)
