If I didn’t watch tv I’d spent all my time on the computer but not eating. Hmm.

Thankfully, I have no idea what Monty is talking about. So, just on with the dentistry (by the way, are TVs the new norm in dental offices? My dentist has, as has always been the case, a radio, set to a mild-mannered station—“easy listening” or the like).

He’s speaking quite clearly (legibly?) for someone on Novocaine.

The remote is always at my left hand while in the dentist’s chair, but with no sound. Just closed caption.I always watch MSNBC while he works.

We stopped getting TV signals a couple years ago – best thing that ever happened – didn’t care enough to try and get them back.

I do translation of tv series and films, so I have to watch some stuff, but I watch nothing that I don’t have to. Particulary because of the way the networks have been treating films (cutting or re-dubbing politically incorrect dialogue, removing whole scenes to fit the time slot, etc)

Only used to watch the NBA games, and I quit that also, since players became musclemen and started to pay more attention to their tattos and hairstyles more than playing men’s basketball.

The dentist chair is an ideal situation to practice vipassana meditation!

Other than the NFL & some news shows, I have no use for broadcast T.V.. Thank goodness they now put the worthwhile stuff (plus plenty of broadcast garbage too) on DVDs, so one can pick & choose thru the trash pile for the stuff worth your time!

My dentist gives me a choice—-TV with or without sound OR off. Plus my hygienist is usually more interesting to talk to.

The only thing on TV when you go to the dentist are talk shows and soaps. – I usually ask for it to be turned off..Unless there’s some major sporting event going on. At least you don’t need sound.
