    Like Benghazi?

Of course, what difference does it make now, anyway?

There should be a big shoe suspended over the table, waiting to drop. That would take out a few people, at least.

When the chief admits his mistakes there should be no witnesses left behind.

I’ve seen plenty announce that they accept full responsibility, and in the next breath announce how they believe they’re the appropriate person to fix the problem they created – what I haven’t seen executives and politicians accept is consequences. Most other people making such far reaching mistakes would be looking at a stint “between jobs” without a golden handshake.

No doubt about how chillingly accurate today’s cartoon is. It is not only a corporate but a political preamble. Right, Gov. Christie ?

When CEOs screw up, people get fired. When Presidents screw up, they dissemble.

So? Those people nowadays all volunteered for the jobs. Those people are provided a good living in exchange for the possibility that they may be called upon to die on demand. Anyway, are those people anyone you know?

“When Reagan said that (after the Marine barracks was blown up) it was the beginning of making sure nobody was ever held really responsible.”I recall when Nixon said this, before Reagan. According to Wikipedia, U: S. Grant had a paraphrase of this . . .

-Speaking as someone who lost relatives to mesothelioma (the cancer caused by exposure to asbestos), let me hasten to reassure you. When CEOs, their assistants, their legal departments and their boards screw up, people also die….

If any CEO resigns, it’s because they have a hefty severance package and can live off their investments!!!

Yeah, I know this. It was “You’re much too valuable an employee to be let go. We need you.”Aaannnd, ONE hour later:“We’re going to have to let you go. Sorry.”Those are direct quotes from the same guy!
