    I don’t have to tell my 14 year old son to do any of that, I just take the batteries to the game controller. He knows what he needs to do to get them back.

    That would have been even better if she’d connected the clauses with “or,” because it’s true if even one of the conditions is right. As it is, most people would think she meant if all of the list is true.
