Earl and Opal are a rhyming couplet.
His woman picks on him, On him she does rag; He needs no horse, he has an old nag.
I can’t wait for Earl to start singin’ the blues.
He writes poems about cowboys and stuffNever rides horses, just sits on his duffHe had a nice hatTil it was ate by the catAs for his poems I’ve had ’bout enough
