Tell people whose health insurance was cancelled or doubled in price that Obamacare is just a “hangnail”.Oh and just wait until the conveniently delayed Employer Mandate kicks in after the midterm elections this year.Then over a hundred million people will really feel the hammer!

You know, the ACA is not frozen in concrete. If there are such problems in the future I am certain that the Congress of that time (be they Democrat or Republican, or even whatever) can (and probably will) change it. It is only a law that Congress has made and they can modify it (if they can get together to do anything that is). However, repealing the entire thing (and then having to start all over again), at this time , or in the future, does not seem to be in the cards. That way, over time, it could become far better than it is now!

Yup, insurance companies hate when they have to compete fairly for business. It’s much easier to make large profits when they can rip off the consumer. Cancer is so much cheaper to treat when you can just cancel a sick person’s policy than actually paying for treatment.

It’s worse sooner than that. You think the individual mandate and the website were a disaster wait until the employer mandate hits. Obama knows that will be a trainwreck of unprecidented proportions. That’s why he illegally pushed back the date again until a week after the 2014 elections.He knows that if it went through in October like it was supposed to after he illegally pushed it back a year that the Democrats couldn’t get elected dogcatcher. He’s just hoping the public is stupid enough to not notice and forget the mass trainwreck Obamacare already has been.The media and press are compliantly helping out by making meaningless distractions like the Christie thing (It may be important to New Jersery but it is irrelevant to the rest of the country).

Each state authorizes every plan available. If you work for a company with multi state locations, your plan is issued by the state of the corporate headquarters. All plans available will be the same with some tweaking by the state you work in.

That would be true if Obamacare weren’t giving insurance to 10 million Americans, and if the GOP had an alternative. But as it is, the ACA is not going to help the GOP at all, except among people who already vote GOP.

I think what your post means is that Obama passed this law because he wants Americans to die … is that right? The depths of your delusion are astounding.

Thank you for the article, Michael WME (Wisdom Mischievously Educating?). It was good reading for those with open minds. I also agree with Mr. Landers, especially since I feel the ACA was a flawed document from its outset due to the lack of bipartisanship and the failure of house committees to involve suitable numbers of professionals and experts who had more interest in a working long term health system than maintaining or increasing profits. A story on NPR informed us that most of those serving as legislators in D.C. are millionaires. The laws they pass, or fail to pass, have an impact on the stock market that makes them brilliantly positioned for the ultimate in insider trading opportunities. Come again? Reread my post. States will tweak group policies to to their parameters.

EXAMPLE: If group policy covers children to age 21 a different state might require that policy to cover children to age 26. The rest will stay the same.

Did you READ the article? The author acknowledges that it WILL hurt companies and industries and laments those poor companies that DO provide health insurance. What? The companies that DO provide insurance GET BETTER TALENT and from a employee perspective are a more desirable place to work. Presently trying to upgrade my job to one of those “disadvantaged” companies..Is WalMart getting top talent? I don’t think so (not if my visits there are typical)..Another thing the article does not touch is timing. Is this leveling of the playing field a good idea? Probably, I don’t like the idea of subsidizing WalMart employees but with the country not having recovered from the recession (except for the 1%) SHOULD they bear another burden?.The article reads like a DNC planted pieces that is so full of holes it reads like swiss cheese through a mob hit.

Thank you RT for your good posts and kind remarks. Both yourself, Michael WME, myself, Mikefive, and truist (as well as others) all seem to be willing to take relatively moderate positions on most of the issues of our day here on this site. The only ultra liberal that I can remember (Antonia?) has either been banned (and not returned) or gone away of his own volition. However, we do seem to be vastly outnumbered by the ultra conservative posters here (and some have been banned and some back with other names).

The real hope that I have is that the American people in general are not represented by this situation. Most Americans are indeed both relatively moderate and somewhat independent of the major political parties. After all, many of the ultra conservative pundits totally predicted that the people were going to give Mitt Romney a smashing victory over president Obama in the last election, but the American people evidently had other ideas anyway!

Actually, I really do not care just how conservative or liberal posters are here, just as long as at least some attempt is made to keep the discussions at least somewhat civilized in nature. It is the TONE of some here that I find so objectionable, not their views necessarily, even when I disagree with those views!

Harley, you again forgot to tell everyone that ‘us American’ are going to have to pay for it.
