^Have you paid any attention to the reports coming out of GITMO? How about the right to a speedy trial, and not being held without charges being filed?
NO, Kim, North Korea, and a lot of countries, like Saudi Arabia totally suck with regard to human rights, but turning a blind eye to our OWN abuses, is perhaps even MORE irresponsible. Rationalizing irrational actions is something we’ve long been very good at, and we can do better, and should.
And yes, I know from personal experience some of the things that happened in Viet Nam, and the number one thing we’re good at is dehumanizing anyone we disagree with, and create as “enemies”. Note all the posters here who lump all Muslims into one group. It’s tiresome to keep noting that there are indeed people I don’t like, and I’m not fond of extremists of right, left,up, or down,and indeed DO segregate individuals, and sub-groups, not just total generalizations that throw everyone in one bucket. That’s called a “learning experience”.
