And it’s been downhill ever since. Back then they couldn’t have imagined the likes of “The Bachelor” or “Duck Dynasty”… The so-called “History” channel is almost nothing but that drivel now.

I found the whole concept very funny, maybe they could do a sitcom called “Reality Series”?? Each week trying to promote a new reality series idea, and then seeing how many actually get picked up in ‘real’ life?

All I can say is that the networks are able to convince advertizers that some people actually watch this stuff.
But when it comes to “reality” nothing tops the grand-daddy of them all: professional wrestling.

As a side note, nothing can be as boring as watching golf on TV. There is a reason they don’t have play-by-play on the radio as they do in other sports.
According to what I’ve read, although the audience for golf is small, the proportion of viewers who buy the products advertized is high. So that’s why it stays on the air.
