Yes those are 2 of the reasons China likes having NK around. They also have having common enemies in S Korea and Japan and we know how that saying goes.As for NK and communism, they always were(are) communist in that the collectivist government owns and controls manufacturing, housing, agriculture etc.Of course now the crazy Kim’s have created their own version of communism (which is very similar to Stalins), but they call it “Juche” version of socialism.Anyways, the point is that neither country’s people are free and in that, N Korea and China have a kinship.
I think it’s frustrating to you that such an evil regime was built upon communism, but it’s true.Communism leads to all kinds of oppressive forms of government.
