    Glad she’s handing it to him outside. I can’t take a break inside when I’ve been shoveling unless I’m prepared to change soaking wet hat, jacket, gloves/mittens and U-Trau.

    ah, if only we COULD get a kid to shovel the walk… that sort of muscular entrepreneurship is buried ’neath the snows of yesteryear…

    Don’t trivialize a serious issue. Many Americans work full time and can’t make enough money doing it to stay alive without government handouts, meaning that we are subsidizing Walmart with our tax money, while the owners are the among the richest people in the world. I shop at places specifically chosen because they pay their workers well ( well, at least better) and provide benefits, and their prices aren’t higher than the places that don’t. Don’t see any reason to donate a dime to the 1%ers.

    It’d sure be nice to be rewarded that way after shoveling snow, but if it’s not an option (such as when you have to do the job yourself), you can always make your own.
