Umm… It’s getting that bad, and the price of stamps is going up on January 26.

This Christmas the Post Office did a great job (for me at least), it was UPS & FEDEX that made the news with late deliveries. Sent a package Media Mail from the west coast to the east coast in 2 days!

The post office seems to be more expensive on packages, less on regular mail. Although I do not want the post office to go belly-up, they need to hire mail delivery persons who can actually READ! On my street they deliver to whomever they want to then we have to bring it to whomever it belongs to!

The USPS pre pays Billions of dollars every year into the union’s retirement program. They can’t do that and stay competitive.

USPS still does packages. It’s UPS that has a problem with them.

The payout goes to the Union retirement funds so the entire union benefits. Have you asked for the corrupt CEO’s prosecution?

Prior to and during WW2, USPS was a monopoly for both letters and packages. After WW2, USPS encouraged others to get into the package business because USPS looked upon packages as a money-losing prospect.

A friend just moved back to the UK after six years in the USA— ask him about Royal Post prices, service, and attitude. He is convinced that the reason the US is so far ahead of everyone else is the Post Office is born of American Attitude— do, do it on time, and make it affordable. In 1914 a First Class letter was two cents— 2¢ for cross country six day delivery. Scale for inflation and that two cents would be 51.1¢ for four day cross country delivery.

    Where is the problem?
