Tax at Clinton levels yes, but the Ike levels of 92% on top earnings WOULD start paring down that debt, IF we cut back on defense CONTRACTOR spending, instead of cutting pay and benefits to troops (although reducing the “top brass” salaries back to only the increase the enlisted got 16% as opposed to the generals’ 35% since 2001 would be reasonable to look at seriously.
NFL, did you even start to notice I DO know what’s been going on with the actual “troops” active and retired in the military, and yes, it IS the Republicans who talk a good game who are out to penalize the military pensioners? A few of them making noise, while the rest WRITE these penalties is what we’ve had for a long time.
<While BOTH parties ARE INDEED guilty of a lot of wasteful spending to get re-elected in their home districts, especially if they have a DEFENSE CONTRACTOR, it is “conservative” policies, since Reagan, that has NOT met obligations to maintain our infrastructure, and health and social programs, instead, favoring big business, and BIG spending on “defense”, which includes HUGE waste in “Homeland Security” where Bush added 33 brand new bureaus and directorates in creating that “department”.
We need to stop drinking so much TEA because the REAL problem is that “trickle down” is nothing but the result of a bladder infection!!
