When I was growing up, they expressed it as, “der Meisterraße über Alles.” It was quite a battle (Kampf) convincing them otherwise.

Adrien I really think this is silly(thus my silly comment) and a non-issue.In fact I don’t think I’ve ever thought about “What color was Santa”?This only became an issue when a black writer made the argument that depicting Santa as a white man was racist and hurtful to blacks.Somebody on Fox said Santa WAS white so what’s the problem with depicting him as white?Of course the left-wing media started doing their usual “Fox News is racist!” routine.Believe me, this is nothing, just like “what color is the Kwaanza Bear”?

Santa Clause is white, black, brown, or yellow, depending on the kid believing. St. Nicholas was definitely “brownish” and would be a Turk today. Ah, but while I see no god with any form at all, wouldn’t all the bible thumpers freak if he actually showed up from three universes out from ours, was green, had three eyes on stalks, and closer related to mollusks than mammals???

I pity the fool who’s on that Santa’s naughty list.

Meh. I grew up with most of the store Santas being black. Wearing snow suits in the middle of summer. :-|Hmm. It occurs to me this could be construed as more cruel and inhumane treatment of black South Africans at the time.
