Though I always found that loafing and inviting my soul was very animating…wish I had time for it now…

May times the beauty of something is that it is just what it is.So just take it for that and enjoy.

I think people these days know much more about the stars than they actually look at them. In most of past history it was the opposite. People around cities have to travel miles away to see the sky in its true glory. How does that affect our cosmic outlook? And how many people get the full impact from realization that the stars aren’t just above — they’re all around?

Reminds me of “Dead Poets Society” and the formula for how to measure if a poem is good or not.

@Three Steps: absolutely, in a different sense. I have both read Whitman and dabbled in animation myself, and I think the art would have bored him, actually. It takes a certain mindset.I look at the night sky almost every evening. I live in a rural area, so an arm of the Milky Way is very visible over my front yard at certain times of the year.
