Best medicine… Have the brother-in-law “help” you with the stuff you’ve thought of to do. Run the feet off of him for asking such a considerate question!
Years ago, one of my older brothers had a broken ankle when they still used plaster for the cast. He had his leg covered up to his knee with the cast for six weeks. By the time it was nearly over, it was itching and really smelly. The fun part for him(he was in high school) was getting the sympathetic girls to help him carry his books home. lol
