Agreed. We used to fly to one our favorite vacation spots. It’s only a 50 min flight and about a 5 hour drive. But now, that 50 min flight ends up taking just as long with all the security checks, long lines, shuttle buses etc. Plus the headache of air travel these days ends up ruining what’s supposed to be your relaxing days off.We now just enjoy a relaxing drive through the mountains.
I’m with Redman and ConGov on this one. It took me 15 hours to drive to my daughter’s Michigan College, but it always took her 11 to 14 hours to fly. And then she’d have to get a ride to and from the school. I remember flying when they brought you hot food on plates with actual stainless cutlery with which to eat. My recent flights have all been good, not as good as in my childhood, but better than some stories I hear. However….I am dreading my flight to California next week.
