Colorado school, armed deputy, only one shot, but it’s still one shot. BTW: there were also armed guards at Columbine, didn’t stop it. Armed guard at the Holocaust museum, first person shot. Tucson, armed guy did NOT draw, probably saved his and others’ lives by focusing on getting the shooter down without using a firearm.

Just considering some considering before the NRA types fire themselves up on this one.

Really Robby?I know you like to be over-the-top, and to the extreme Left, but this is just sick.So responsible gun owners are celebrating at the site of the murder of 20 schoolchildren? If one of those victims were my kid and you showed me your little “toon”, I’d be in prison.

I see the right-wing gun nuts are out in force (as they are at every cartoon pointing out the obvious). Lots of heartfelt concern for the poor abused gun lobby and manufacturers, and for the paranoids who own them; not so much for the people slaughtered by them.As has been pointed out before, those of you who want god, guns, and no government really would be a lot happier in Somalia.

How is that an alternate universe when these are verifiable events?

Mikefive: interesting the “NRA types” talk about gun laws, but don’t mention that a large percentage make gun ownership EASIER!

    Japan: 0.6 guns per 100 people, 4 gun homicides per 130,000. U.S. : 88 guns per 100 people, 4,600 gun HOMICIDES per 130,000 people.

Nope, no evidence whatsoever that more guns = more gun violence. BTW: guns aren’t totally illegal in Japan, just VERY RIGIDLY controlled, and yes, more regulated than I see as necessary for the U.S., but we DO need that “well regulated” to mean something as stated by SCOTUS in “Heller vs D.C.”.

Ahem. I believe this cartoon refers to the tone-deaf NRA tweets about buying guns for Christmas and “celebrating” gun ownership right after the latest shooting — and within a short time of the Sandy Hook anniversary.Don’t know why you gun-fans are getting so up in arms — you’ve won EVERY DAMN BATTLE TO CONTAIN NUTS WITH GUNS for twenty years.
