This day late and a dollar short routine is just too sad, Steve. You bring out my empathy better than any other strip I read; I just wish the little guy would get a break now and then.

This Sunday made me realize that LDL isn’t the only metaphor in this strip. The owner who eternally waits for him is also symbolic.
