The CEOs said at the Chamber of Commerce meeting last summer that this step, a ‘long term budget’, was one of the first things needed in order for them to make hiring, infrastructure upgrades, and innovation investments. I’ll be curious to see what happens next.I think that’s what the Founders wanted though… a system of gov’t that could adapt and improvise in order for the democracy to continue to continue. Perhaps a little stability for a short time will make people realize that compromise isn’t a ‘four letter word’.Be well, Michael.C.

Spending that was approved by previous administrations. After saving the auto industry and the economy from collapsing in 2009, Obama’s approved spending has been modest.

House GOP 169 Zombies voted For this Fraud “cuts” budget…which immediately raises spending and hikes taxes but puts “cuts” off into the future depending on renegers for the next 10 years to get a spittoon-full of “cuts”….-GOP Senators, cut off at the knees by Democrat leader Reid, is making grumbling noises about the House bill, and voters will soon see how many GOP Zombies vote “yes” as the Dems need only 5 GOP votes to pass this charade of a bill.-We need a 2014 Tea Party Voter Revolution!

No one, on either side, has the guts to cut spending, because jobs will be lost. Granted, many of those jobs should never have been made, but no one wants to be thought of as a job-killer. So no one will make the hard decisions we all know are necessary. Blame the Democrats. Blame the Republicans. Blame whoever you want; does no good.

Write your ‘representatives’ about your thoughts; let them know you’re watching, and that you will vote according to their actions/inactions. Then make good on your promise. If we are all willing to do this, we MIGHT be able to effect the necessary changes. If we do not, status quo; nothing will be done in Congress, the President will get the blame, and we’ll be sitting here on GoComics calling each other names, and pointing out how poorly we spell.
