I dunno, I’m with Becca. I’ve been in negotiations just like that quite often. You think you’re in a rational discussion and suddenly everything explodes and extremely weird decisions are made. Only later do you find out that X couldn’t stand to work with Y, so got Z to refuse to allocate staff and resources to make Y’s project fail so that Y would get sacked – that sort of thing. Business is stranger than fiction…

Reminds me of the Democrats when they don’t get their way, except they tend to go nuclear.

In America, every problem has a military solution. Now what is the military solution to Obamacare?

Astolat’s comments remind me of an episode of “Star Trek: TNG” in which Lt. Worf asks Cap’t. Picard if he can find somebody else to work with the Klingon ambassador. After Worf explains his reasons, Picard replies, “Those are personal feelings. What are the professional reasons?” Worf “sobers up” and drops his request.

It would seem we don’t have enough maturity and professionalism in business and gov’t. these days.

Pre-order the book at Amazon, and a drone will deliver it to your door by Christmas.

Mr. King, I can’t see anything on the illustration you posted except for a little red “x” with a square around it in the upper left-hand corner. Or is that the point, somehow?

I truly have to thank the republicans for teaching the Democrats how to go nuclear. For the longest time, I didn’t think they had the guts.

Boner moved the goal post: “You shouldn’t judge a Congress by the number of bills they pass, but by the number of bills they repeal.” Aside from the fact that he thinks they repealed 44 bills, they actually repealed None. Ninguno. Rien. Bupkis.
