Outstanding! Let’s hope that spirit lasts all year. I volunteer at a local food pantry and it is amazing how generous folks are bt Thanksgiving and Christmas. Equally amazing how we are most forgotten a few months later…

I have a feeling that people living in a box on a snowy sidewalk need a place to live more than a forgotten Christmas gift.

So What? This is a CARTOON, not real life. Brought tears to my eyes anyway. Why can’t you accept it for what it is? Everything in the world cannot be absolutly correct and sad. We need a little difference to keep from falling down all those slipery slopes people keep putting in our way.

I try to live by this motto.

Give what you can, and only take a little as possible

I always give blood, do the angel tree or any other charity i can possibly do

I’ve never seen “a few random gifts” that were “forgotten about” left under a Christmas tree. Everyone I know of does a good job finding them all.

The last panel contains symbolism. It’s a given that there are different ways of discerning the meaning. Good Samaritan? Good neighbor? Three kings? Individual worth? Giving rather than receiving?

Today’s strip strikes close to home. There was a homeless man living under a bridge who froze to death. Public forgets home less people. The family is sweet to bring the mom and child a little Christmas food and gifts. We do have shelters as one commenter said not everyone goes to those shelters.
