You should be a writer — you’re so good at fiction.

Not just swell, but the mere THOUGHT of war, and of course preparing for the next one, is VERY PROFITABLE, to certain circles. Much less trouble btw, to name the countries we DON’T have troops in! (don’t forget the covert “operations” as well!)

^TheTreaty of Versailles, with British and French demands, laid the groundwork for WW II.

^A description of my position used in a job application, for the period 10/66-10/67: "Helicopter mechanic/crew chief. Extensive duties related to helicopter operations, repair, search missions, rescues, recoveries. Extensive weapons familiarity with many weapon types, first aid experience in bullet wounds, fragmentation and concussion device injury, chemical burns, major trauma injuries. Supervised work crews of American personnel, and crews of Vietnamese with added security responsibilities. Other duties as assigned based on needs of the military.

Peace is a better part of human relations, and our wars since WW II, have not displayed much “wisdom”. The job description, and especially “other duties as assigned” has a lot to do with why I’m strongly “anti-war”, but certainly NOT a ""pacifist".
