Aw, and here I was believing the kids just wanted to be nice. Oh well, hopefully it’s a win-win.Is Frazz wearing a Biggby Coffee t-shirt? It’s so seldom that I can even guess at them.

: ) Mrs. Olsen looks quite happy with it! She’ll probably put the vacation homework up on the board before she falls asleep…

Jef, did you buy a Starbucks franchise?

But not as big an idiot as someone who issues pronouncements like that. Not that that’s what you did.

I like my Starbucks coffee. But I buy it in a bag, grind the beans myself, and brew it at home. It’s expensive enough this way, and I’m certainly not going to pay in-store prices.

By the way, if one takes an empty bag back to a Starbucks, it can be redeemed for a tall, regular coffee.

Haven’t you ever heard of the $100 cup of coffee in Japan? A tea house that also serves coffee will sell a cup of the same coffee in a private room, from a silver coffee pot, poured by the proprietor. It’s used by businessmen on expense accounts to show high respect to clients.

Nah, just how cheap I am. And pointing out that I’m a bit of a coffee purist (snob).

Homework is bogus. The ones who can do it correctly on their own don’t need the practice, and the ones who need the practice can’t do it correctly on their own. What’s the value in practicing incorrectly?
