4 dead and accountability will lie on a reporter…. Is that suppose to make sense?

The documents that Rather were relying on were forgeries, and such badly done forgeries that individual viewers had exposed them before the episode even finished airing. []Instead of swallowing their pride and admitting that they got taken in by a politically-motivated con artist, the staff involved with the report absolutely refused to budge on the issue; instead, the bloggers who established that the documents were fake were referred to as the “pajamahadeen”.[]It was for failing to own up to the network’s journalistic failings in regards to the story – and later statements that the documents were “fake but accurate” – that Rather and several other CBS staffers were fired.

Bogus Bush documents… CBS has a habit of doing that. It’s like watching Jon Stewart and pretending it is a serious news show…

I saw a video of an interview with the woman who recognized that Mr. Rather had forged the document.

I played it back three times to make sure I heard her correctly. She stated that the details were correct, although the document was a fake. No one seemed interested in the fact that Dubya had ducked his duty, and gone AWOL to work on Republican races. Even though the document’s accusations were factual, the document was a fake.

Again, just for the record, NINE congressional investigations into Benghazi. Nine. All conducted by people who were salivating over the chance to really nail someone high up in the Obama administration. And the results of all those investigations?

No arrests, no indictments, no forced resignations……I agree that four people shouldn’t have died. But I’m still waiting to see ANY evidence of criminal behavior being proven by Mr. Issa and his band of merry men.

Still, Benghazi is the great Republican rallying cry.

Darren Blair: Rather’s report relied on three sources – as real reporters are supposed to do. One was fake. The other two are never mentioned as that might derail the railroad. Censorship is strong in the corporate media. That is why the Green Party must never be mentioned, even in passing; why Sen. Sanders may only be identified as “Independent” when he is a Socialist (and it might let people know what socialism really is).

Bush should have been fired for criminal incompetence after 9/11, instead we let him lead us off a cliff!

On Rather; they had many documents, only two turned out to be “forgeries”. This time, they didn’t check the fact their “witness” was a total liar. You know, this Benghazi thing cost four lives, of course far more serious than the lies that led to over 4,000 American deaths in Iraq, and hundreds of thousands of civilans.

BTW: “Under Fire: The Untold Story of the Attack in Benghazi” Burton and Katz DOES tell the real story, hour by hour, and points out State Departments security shortcomings around the world, not just in this case, or this administration, and why more “help” simply wasn’t available as claimed by the “righties”. The book is accurate, and reminded me of a number of “incidents” I was personally familiar with a long time ago when “outposts” couldn’t always be guaranteed “security” in an insurgent situation, called, war.

Also never mentioned by the corporate media: the State Department asked for better security for our consulates but Republican obstructionism denied the funds. Otherwise Benghazi might have been properly defended and the GOP wouldn’t have their fake rallying cry. Of course four deaths is worth it for their political advantage to the military/industrial junta.

“What did Barack Obama contribute to the Benghazi Murders and the resulting coverup?” ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Slander is criminal, and you could be sued for it.
