Let them HAVE a monitored nuclear program to generate power, and sell the U.S. their oil again! Get rid of nuclear weapons in the Middle East: hmm, that means only one country that has them, Israel.
Just an aside: what about all the talk of providing “mini-reactors” to third world African nations so they can have electricity? What about Israel working to give the apartheid government in South Africa nuclear weapons?
The issue of nuclear power IS more complex than the idiocy of the “political side”. There ARE serious problems to overcome with nuclear power, like getting fusion to work practically, and controlling waste, in mining as well as at energy plants, but it IS part of the answer to keeping up with our increasing world population, and demand for “lifestyle improvements” that continue to demand more energy consumption.
