I worked with a woman that said the fumes in the factory bothered her asthma & she needed to use her nebulizer often. Then she’d go outside at break & smoke like a chimney.

Those were the days, my friend, those were the daze . . . ☺

I live in a Burley tobacco area. We would cut the stalks, spear them on sticks and hang them in the barn to dry.

I never worked in the ‘flue cured’ variety.

I’m sure she only smokes American Spirits.

We all CHOOSE our poisons. I only tried smoking back before college (50s and 60s) and will LIMIT my drinking when I finish with this vegetarian thing. It IS a war (what with Monsanto and Pharmaceutical companies seemingly only interested in THEIR bottom line and coercing farmers, and advertising their medicines to make the unwary believe that they NEED those). Even trusted doctors give free samples to the unaware. I still have some pain killers I was given after an auto accident

I WILL be sure that I eat healthy as much as possible, but when I splurge and have something unhealthy, at least it WILL be something really yummy. At my age, that’s what matters.
