I don’t wish to see ANYONE booted off gocomics.com. But I do not see the problem…it’s free. Just sign back up with a slightly different handle. ex. "Dryer, More Dry, Dry and Hot, Dry4ever, or even—-(synonym) Arid. Use your same pix, and everyone knows it is you. ;-D C’mon back, Dry! It is easy. I have not done it, but I have noticed it MANY times…slightly different name, same pix.

Getting back to Andy, Jack’s now between a rock and a hard spot, He can refuse to pour the round, thereby looking like a cheapskate and having to put up with a lot of guff from his regulars, or he can give in, lose money, and look like a right twit for putting up with Andy.Enough is Enough !! FREE DRY, NOW !!!!!!!

Fifty years ago today. A small farming community 10 miles outside Hof/Saale, Germany. A young airman is having dinner at the home of another young airman and his wife. After dinner, they are listening to Armed Forces Radio, and an emergency announcement states that President Kennedy has been shot. Absolute stunned disbelief. The end of innocence.

Gweedo (Free Range Dry) Murray said, about 23 hours agoYour kitty is so sweet! But then they say that animals/children are a reflection of their owners. -It is snowing here just as predicted. Joe and I went out to collect the riding mower and tiller yesterday. The tiller was at Ball gardens and there was a bit of mess due to the flood. Parts of the fence were over sideways wit mud and debris on them. The users have been notified by the garden group president to move all their stuff out before a large earth mover can scrape the whole thing clean. They will redo the ground. I suggested to Joe that they might benefit by a berm or some kind of wall on the west side to divert future flood water around the space. -Those ‘plastered’ faces creep me out. -I’m glad you are pest free. Are you using the Shell No Pest Strip ?-Yes they did. Michal explained to me that having the beard and wearing the camo jacket is what gave the impression. It must be the ‘uniform’ of outdoors people, apparently. I have pictures from my visit which I will get on. -Thanks for the blush. It wasn’t something that came out of a tube, was it ? Your kitty wave pleases me. -I hope you were okay with the music program. Too bad it ended abruptly. I enjoyed the hell out of it myself. -Thursday is ’wonderful’ in that I am warm and doing indoor stuff. -There’s always Friday…..__________________________________________________

Was that from the same flood that your area had a few months ago? Anyway, I hope it all gets cleared up pretty soon. I’ve actually fell over on wet grounds before. How embarrassing that was. Somebody asked me if I was all right though. -I was amused by the ‘Shell No Pest’ link. That gave me a giggle.-I bet you felt very embarrassed when that person thought you were homeless. I’m not sure if you’re the type of person who would have felt embarrassed or just shrugged it off without a second thought. I hope it doesn’t happen again anyway.-My blush came naturally.-I really enjoyed the ‘Frank Zappa’ link. It was good to listen to the whole 1 hour 23 minutes of it while I was doing stuff. I sometimes listen to Blackadder Goes Forth on Youtube as they have an audio version of it. I’ve watched it a million times on DVD so it’s easy to remember what the characters’ face expressions look like.-May you have a great Friday. Glad you like my Kitty… She’ll be back very soon. I’m sure.

I just want to say that I’m very sorry to hear that Dry has a permanant ban. How unfair and stupid is that?

I always enjoyed her comments which were always very witty and I loved her selection of cute animal avatars.

The only reason I’m still commenting at this place is because I have a lot of friends who are very much like family and it wouldn’t be very fair if I just left them.

If I didn’t have anybody here, I would have went through the ‘Exit Door’ now.

Until GoComics release Dry, They’ve lost my respect… again.

Fifty years ago, the only thing I could think to do was go to church. St. Michaels was absolutely packed! I was stunned. After i had been there for about 10 minutes the priest appeared and began to say Mass. This was about 5:30. Unheard of to say a Mass on 5:30 on a weekday, but nobody complained!

We really did live in a kind of Ozzie and Harriet/Leave It To Beaver world back in the 50’s and early 60’s, until that fateful day in Dallas. It was never the same again. Up until then, in spite of the Cold War and the Cuban missile crisis, those of us who were in college, thought we were knowledgeable and sophisticated, and that God and goodness would prevail. In one shattering moment, our eyes were opened and the naivete and innocence disappeared.

Janis Joplin….definitely and Grace Slick (in the good old days). Cher meant nothing much to me, either – I just remember her. .Hey…you’re younger that I am…. !

Re: your tornado relief. I went to Thailand a few months after the tsunami hit their shores. I gave in the bars and shops but the government said that they’d sort it out themselves. I admire their efforts but I remember New Orleans and how the poorer (mostly black) people lost out.

There is a piece from 1959 where a young Captain Beefheart does an improvised vocal that includes a naughty word or two. There is also a piece from a Captain Beefheart from 1869 which was a diatribe against the war between the states…Same Captain?
